Curiosity without the tracking.
Your reading choice belongs to you.
The Grove Square does not ask for your name, age, birthday, email address, or an account. There are no ads, third-party analytics, tracking pixels, social embeds, or behavioral profiles in this website.
Fellow explorers
Our counter adds up visits to The Grove Square. It stores one shared total, not a list of readers. It does not save names, IP addresses, locations, device details, or browsing histories in the counter database, and it uses no visitor IDs or analytics cookies.
Your browser remembers for 30 minutes that this tab has been counted. That small timestamp stays in this tab and is not sent to us. Moving between stories during that time does not add another visit. A later visit or another tab may count again, so the number is visits—not unique people. The counter starts from launch; it does not include earlier visits.
One small preference
Your browser can store your reading edition under “grove-edition” in local storage. It stays on your device and is not sent to The Grove Square. Change it in the header or clear this site’s browser data to reset it. If storage is blocked, reading still works, but your choice may not be remembered.
Hosting and outside links
Like any web host, the hosting service processes connection information needed to deliver pages and may retain operational logs. The public stories do not require a reader account. Hosting-service sign-in for editors is separate from reading the publication.
Sources open only when you follow a link. Other websites have their own privacy practices. Photographs and scripts are hosted with this site; there are no external font or image requests while reading.
